Municipal Services
The mission of the Municipal Services Department is to provide quality, reliable, and responsive public services for the Independence community. The Department must proactively and reactively maintain City infrastructure items and functions, such as streets, sanitary sewer, stormwater mitigation, water distribution, drinking water treatment, and wastewater treatment. The Department is dedicated to public health and environmental protection by enforcing local, state, and federal laws.
